New terminal at the Port of Bahía Blanca
A new terminal on 25 hectares with river access, developed together with engineering and construction firms specialised in port infrastructure.
In partnership with engineering and construction firms specialised in port infrastructure, DEMSA is developing a new terminal at the Port of Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires province, on a 25-hectare site with river access.
The project builds on a deep understanding of Vale S.A.'s former Potasio Río Colorado project: DEMSA prepared the current preliminary design, and certain elements of those works are available for potential reuse. The first phase was designed around the site's conditions.
First phase
- Grain reception system
- Storage in two cells of 78,000 tonnes each
- Conveyor loading system
- Estimated annual capacity of approximately 1,800,000 tonnes
