Sector
Logistics and ports
Ocean terminals, barge berths, road and rail multimodal, primary customs areas and bonded warehouses.
Paraná – Paraguay waterway
The waterway is the natural corridor for bulk cargo from the heart of the continent. DEMSA has been operating and developing projects along that axis since the 1980s: barge convoys from Corumbá, transhipment on the lower Paraná, agro-industrial terminals and multipurpose port complexes between San Pedro, Zárate, Campana and Greater Rosario.
Multimodal and foreign trade
River logistics is complemented by rail —Belgrano Cargas, NCA, San Martín— and primary road access. On that basis, primary customs areas, bonded warehouses, dry ports, container and vehicle yards and free-trade-zone schemes are structured to reduce the operating cost of foreign trade.
Air cargo
A fourth mode arrived with the Air Cargo Terminal at Neuquén International Airport, which DEMSA is developing together with Patagon Energy and Rhenus Logistics: financing, construction and operation of hangars, warehouses and a security area, with an initial target of 50,000 tonnes a year to serve the region's air cargo market.
