In September 2007, Biocombustible Santa Fe S.A. was founded together with Integrated Biodiesel Industries of Brazil. The project involved the construction, assembly and operation of a biodiesel plant using Brazilian design technology, to be installed within Terminal Puerto Rosario S.A.

In 2008, DEMSA was engaged by Zárate Port S.A. for the re-engineering and construction of its port on the Paraná de las Palmas River (km 101.4). The project involved developing a port for chemical and bulk products. DEMSA partnered with a consultancy to prepare an advisory report for a potential acquisition, including a SWOT assessment of the port.

In 2009, DEMSA was exclusively engaged by the buyer and the owner of Puerto SOYEX Zárate to build a private commercial port complementing the existing facilities —storage cells, tank farm, soybean plant, equipment and offices— with a multipurpose berth, improvements to internal roads, a customs and truck yard, and the approvals required from Customs, the Argentine Naval Prefecture, the National Directorate of Port Works and Waterways and the National Ports Directorate.
